Each one can define what a certain form of art represents, or what each one seeks with his practice.
The beautiful photographs, the landscapes that take your breath away, are not the work of man. They are works of God that have hardly been well portrayed. Classic beauty is a pleasure that wears itself out while enjoying it. Nothing remains after that.
For me photography is something else.
I look for in the images a reflection of common life, the enormous wealth hidden in everyday things. We never see everything. We never see all the things that shine around us with simplicity and humility.
Those things are sometimes arranged in a special way.
When you frame and shoot the shutter, you cut out a portion of the universe that is unique, unlike anything else. Although it is a common, habitual space, it becomes a suggestive image, an entry point through which the observer can travel, fly, towards unknown horizons. You don't even need your imagination to do this. It is enough to let yourself be possessed by the image and perceive the infinite possibilities it offers. And the pleasure that comes with it.
That is photography.
That's what I'm trying
